The Templestowe Park Primary School Council plays a key role in the operation of our school. The School Council is comprised of Parents, Teachers, our Principal Team and Community Representatives. Our School Council develops a vision for the school in collaboration with all members of the school community and is actively involved in the development of and endorses the school’s strategic plan. Participating as a School Council member is a rewarding experience. The day-to-day programs and operations of the school are the responsibility of the Principal and staff. The School Council supports the principal to provide the best possible educational outcomes for students.
School Council has three main responsibilities:
Finance - overseeing the development of the school’s annual budget and ensuring proper records are kept of the school’s financial operations.
Strategic Planning - participating in the development and monitoring of the school strategic plan.
Policy Development and Review - Developing, reviewing and updating policies that reflect a school’s values and support the school’s broad direction outlined in its strategic plan.
