At Templestowe Park PS all students from Prep to Year 6 participate in a weekly Mandarin language session for one semester. We aim to develop students’ language awareness and skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Our program also provides opportunities for students to learn about the Chinese culture, and therefore strengthen their intercultural understanding.

During our lessons, a variety of class activities are provided to develop and enhance students’ skills. The program is strongly supported by aural, visual and technological resources. Students build their language skills through taking part in a broad range of learning activities.

Throughout the year, Templestowe Park celebrates special events such as Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
