RRIPO ROLE MODEL AWARDS
The RRIPO Role Model Award is presented to students who exhibit the school values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Pride and Optimism. They receive a special ‘RRIPO Role Model’ ribbon at our school assembly and we celebrate their fantastic achievements together as a community. Congratulations to our outstanding RRIPO Role Models.

BEST SWIMMERS IN THE STATE!

Well, our Grade 6 girls have done it again, achieving even better results this year. Priscilla, Shiloh, Tijana and Zara became state champions in not just one but two separate relay races. It goes to show what hard work, dedication and sheer determination can produce. Well done to our team who competed at state level at the Melbourne Sports and Acquatic Centre (MSAC), representing the region in four separate events. They achieved a first place in the Individual Medley Relay and the Freestyle Relay, making them the fastest swimmers in the state. Zara also came home with a very close second place in the 50m Butterfly and a third in the 50m Freestyle.
What an impressive way to finish off their primary school years, knowing they have achieved these exceptional results as a swimming team.
MATHS TALENT QUEST (MTQ) 2021 - BEST EVER RESULTS
Our results this year in the Maths Talent Quest (MTQ) are simply "off the charts". We are so proud of all the staff and students in Years Prep, One and Three.
Two of our grades have been chosen to represent Victoria in the National Awards; this is out of a total of 370 entries. Well done to 3B and 1S on being State Champions.
Altogether the school submitted 13 entries into the competition; 10 of these received a High Distinction and 3 received a Distinction.
NAPLAN
Templestowe Park is one of the highest achieving primary schools in Victoria for NAPLAN results. We consistently achieve in the top 10% of all primary schools.

eSMART SCHOOL
We have received recognition and registration as an eSmart school. We are a school where the smart, safe and responsibile use of information and communications 
technology is a cultural norm. Students, teachers and the wider school community are equipped to embrace the best these technologies can offer, while being savvy about the pitfalls.
GRADE 6 LEGACY PROJECT
A colourful mural has been designed and created by our Grade 6 students and Visual Arts Teacher, Nicole Sumner, as a way of remembering their time here at the school.
ALUMNI
27 April 2021: The State Swimming Championships were held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre with the school being proudly represented by the talented Grade 5 swimmers: Zara J, Tijana R, Shiloh C and Priscilla L in the Freestyle Relay. They placed 2nd on the day against the best of the best in Victoria. They also achieved a personal best for their team by 9 seconds!!! Our congratulations go to the girls for their continuous hard work and for always striving to be the best they can be.
Our 2014 Football Team produced the best results we ever had in the School Sport Victoria competition. The team, comprising students from Grades 6 and 5, won 14 straight games which included a grand final win over St Anne's at the Eastern Metropolitan level. They then advanced to the state quarter finals where they lost in "extra time" to St Mary's Wooroopna in a nail biting game at Wangaratta. Well done team, we are so proud of your talent and fighting spirit.
We would like to congratulate Amber, who finished Grade 6 in 2010 and has recently been selected to play hockey for the Victorian U21 state team. She was also part of the U18 Victorian team that won a silver medal at the national championships in April 2015.
We also have a tennis champion in Jasmin S who finished here in 2012. Jasmin has, for the second time, earned a place in the School Sport Victoria Tennis Team, playing for the U/19 team at just 14 years of age. The team once again came second at the Australian Championships which were held in Hobart earlier this year.
Scott Ayton, Class of 1997, is part of an Australian research group that is leading the way into the possible causes of Alzheimer's disease. Dr Ayton is working at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health in Melbourne; his team is responsible for investigating the rate of decline in patients who have high levels of iron in their brain. Their research has determined that this amount of iron stays the same throughout your life.
